QA+iCATHI can be used by any individual that needs support in their home to enable high quality health or social care in the home. Care At Home system designed for maximum ease of use. The tablet computer (such as iPad) provides a prompting system for:
Medication - reminders, repeats etc. Appointments - doctor for example Meal Requests Carer attendance arrival & departure confirmation Patient satisfaction feedback
One feature is that carers, relatives or friends (with password permission), as well as a Care Coordinator or Health professional, to add or amend entries. This takes it well beyond a medical support system and cover any reminders a patient might need such as ‘daughter taking you shopping today at 12’!
The second major benefit is that the system can automatically alert friends, relatives or carers if the patient has not confirmed a prompt response and they can then contact the patient directly. This is invaluable where someone might be concerned about someone forgetting to take vital medication.
At a less dramatic level it can confirm someone has got up and had breakfast!
