ANI: Needs Assessment
|
|
Checklists: Any number of formats and sources can be used to record an initial ‘enquiry’ - this is electronically sent to the assessment team for review.
DST: A Nurse or Care Professional Assessor is scheduled to complete a more detailed review of need and any number of domains can be included in the process. Where multi-discipline support is indicated this is also electronically linked.
MDTA: Building on the Checklist and DST information additional resource needs can be assessed to provide a full picture of commissioning needs.
The approval process is fully supported by email alerts to trigger team action.. |

Needs Assessment
Capturing Need, assessing, monitoring and reviewing services has been a paper-based process up until now due to natural resistance to obtrusive use of computers when face-to-face with Patients and Clients. A further inhibitor is the reluctance for some care professionals to embrace ‘computer’ technology.
With the advent of iPad-type devices ‘it’ doesn’t feel like a computer any more! The Apple iPad type devices are ‘comfortable’ and easy to use—we have chosen to use the Dell Duo as it can flip functions between Tablet and Laptop.
For the first time a user friendly device is available to completely change the inefficient paper based approach and we are exploiting the opportunity!
Health and Social Care Needs can be captured at various stages of the enquiry and review process, leading to a Comprehensive Need Statement. To request a demonstration click here |

Needs Assessment is available for use by teams in other locations or organisations to create a Patient - centric view of both medical and social needs.
We have now launched iANI, our unobtrusive system to support electronic capture of Checklist, DST and Multi Disciplinary Team Assessments.
The same system can also be used for Outcome Surveys for CQUIN and other quality management demands.
